Will your employer match your monetary donation to DRI Foundation?

August 13, 2013 Leave a comment dridrive

Corporate matching gift programs are charitable giving programs setup by corporations in which the company matches donations made by employees to eligible nonprofit organizations. For example, if a donor works for Ericsson and donates $100 to DRI Foundation, Ericsson will double the donation by also writing a check for $100.

Thousands of companies offer matching gift programs. A few examples include:

  • Through the Coca-Cola Matching Gifts Program, eligible employees make personal contributions to qualified organizations and those contributions are matched on a 2-for-1 basis.
  • AIG will double-two dollars for every dollar-employee contributions of $25 or more up to a combined total of $5,000 per calendar year per eligible donor and/or spouse.
  • The maximum amount matched per eligible employee at GlaxoSmithKline per calendar year is $10,000.
  • Bank of America matching gifts program offers a way to double – up to $5,000 per person each calendar year – employees’ cash or securities contributions to their favorite charitable organizations.

Not sure if you have a matching gifts program?

It’s easy now to find out!  Visit our website at  Double the Donation and type in your company name. If your company is listed, you can fill out the forms and submit them electronically.  If your employer is not listed, ask your human resources representative whether your company has a matching program or would be willing to consider one.

Remember, donations are dedicated to helping those in need through preparedness, recovery, response, and community engagement.

Thanks for checking to see if your company offers a matching gifts program!
