DRI Young Leaders in Resilience April Event: Volunteerism and Disaster Recovery

YoungLeadersinResilienceLogoDRI’s Young Leaders in Resilience (YLR) group is gearing up for its next meeting on April 13, which is designed to introduce young professionals in the field to opportunities to give back and branch out through volunteering.
The evening will start at 5:30 p.m. with a panel discussion at the Red Cross Main Hall, 520 W 49th St, New York, NY 10019. Attendees interested in risk management also will get an overview of intersections with volunteer organizations post-disaster, and share best practices on how volunteering can help build teamwork and networks both in and out of the office.
Speakers will include:
  • Raul Rivera Nuñez – American Red Cross of Greater New York Region
  • Lauren Vatier – Team Rubicon
  • Daniella Miller – Macy’s
  • Herman Schaffer – NYC Emergency Management
YLR Chair Scott Reutter will moderate the panel.
This panel will be followed by a happy hour social at a Latitude from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Network with other professionals in the fields of risk management, business continuity, disaster recovery, information risk, and resiliency. First drink is on DRI!

About the Young Leaders in Resilience:
Young Leaders in Resilience is an organization affiliated with DRI International, serving risk management and related disciplines through developing and supporting relationships amongst its practitioners. These disciplines include risk management, business continuity, disaster recovery, information risk management, and resiliency.
