DRI Italy Hosts Societal Resilience Conference
Congratulations to DRI Italy on hosting a well-received conference in Milan, Italy, on Oct. 26! Titled “Societal Resilience,” the conference by DRI and BCManager, the Italian Association of BC Managers, was attended by more than 80 professionals belonging to Italian enterprises.
The conference was designed to update European business continuity and risk management professionals on emerging trends and innovations, including the impact of the new EU privacy regulations, and new technologies and business models such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and Factory 4.0.
DRI President and CEO Chloe Demrovsky was one of the featured speakers, with her presentation, “What’s a resilience professional to do? Charting a career path in the future world of robots.”
“The DRI Italy forum in Milan was a terrific event,” said Demrovsky. “The theme was focused on the security implications of the Internet of Things and the vulnerabilities that will come with Industry 4.0. Both are exceedingly timely and relevant when you consider the rapid advances in this direction paired with our global interconnectivity. Professionals will need to help their organizations develop comprehensive strategies to address the complex problems that will arise.”
“I am delighted to confirm once again the strict relationship between the Italian community of BC professionals and DRI International,” said DRI Italy’s Corrado Zana. “The presence of Chloe Demrovsky gave to all attendants the opportunity to take advantage of her global view on our role as resilience professionals.”
