Get #HurricaneStrong During National Hurricane Preparedness Week!

As the 2019 hurricane season gets underway, now is an excellent time for resilience professionals to make sure their plans are in place and their organization knows how to respond to a weather emergency. That’s why May 5-11 is the National Weather Service’s Hurricane Preparedness Week. Each day corresponds to themes and activities you can use to promote hurricane safety and preparedness among your organization and staff:

• Sunday, May 5 – Determine Your Risk
• Monday, May 6 – Develop and Evacuation Plan
• Tuesday, May 7 – Assemble Disaster Supplies
• Wednesday, May 8 – Get an Insurance Checkup
• Thursday, May 9 – Strengthen Your Home
• Friday, May 10 – Help Your Neighbor
• Saturday, May 11 – Complete a Written Plan
