The Resilient Woman
07/31/2019 – 07/31/2019
London, United Kingdom
This event is in conjunction with DRI’s UK partner, the Resilience Association (formerly BANG).
For Rina Singh it was all going well until suddenly she found herself in her mid-20’s, with no job or money. In this ever-competitive world finding work was tough so she started her blog (RISKercize, now The RESILIENCE POD), moved to London and then successfully implemented BCM/Risk framework across the non-profit and healthcare sectors resulting in being shortlisted as continuity & resilience newcomer and professional of the year. This came with its challenges. Fast forward a few years to present day, now in her early 30s, she is part of a dynamic award-winning team within the infrastructure/ rail sector – and this is only just the beginning.
For many women resilience is a strength considered essential. Both men and women need resilience, but women need to overcome traditional unconscious bias and other obstacles placed in their way in order to advance in the business world. Are you aware of the amount of personal resilience you possess? How can you channel your own resilience to help your organisation become resilient?
Join the speaker for this month’s Women In Resilience Session, Rina Singh, MBCI, Resilience Manager at Network Rail, to hear how in just six years she stepped out of her comfort zone and shares her inspirational journey on what it takes to be that resilient woman in business.
