In response to a growing demand from our Certified Professionals for assistance with constructing, distributing, and evaluating Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Requests for Information (RFI) for products and services, DRI is now formally offering this service at no charge to DRI Certified Professionals in good standing.
As a non-profit organization, DRI International serves as a trusted advisor to individuals and organizations around the world, providing information on a vast array of subjects through information gathered from its network of Certified Professionals, product and service vendors, government agencies, professional organizations and private sector organizations. DRI uses this information to help Certified Professionals find the answers to business, technical, and administrative questions about organizational structure, impact of regulations, and career opportunities, and to help find the right solutions. Our information sources allow us to maintain current knowledge of product and service capabilities, which enables us to provide the most current information.
“Certified Professionals often come to DRI for advice. We have regularly performed this RFP/RFI service upon request,” says Chloe Demrovsky, President and CEO. “We want to ensure that this benefit is available to DRI Certified Professionals who may not have known to ask for our help with projects like RFPs and RFIs.”
Over the past decade, DRI International has aided our Certified Professionals by:
- Creating RFPs/RFIs for those seeking help with this process
- Providing a list of potential respondents to the RFP/RFI
- Serving as a sounding board for regulatory and other issues pertaining to suppliers/vendors
- Providing suggestions as to the criteria for selection
In the next few months DRI International will address the issue of creation, distribution and evaluation of RFPs/RFIs. DRI International will publicly offer the services enumerated above to all Certified Professionals in good standing. DRI does not participate in the vendor selection process, but simply provides the contact information for no fewer than three vendors who can potentially provide the goods and/or services sought. The model will be scalable, ranging from creating the RFP/RFI with suggestions for which vendors should receive the RFP/RFI, to acting as a sounding board for those organizations that feel capable of preparing their own documents.
We will do so by using the experience of senior Certified Professionals to provide templates, guidance, and consultation at NO COST. Our help is without financial entanglements often seen in our field. As a non-profit DRI International will not seek nor accept any referral fees from respondents to the RFP/RFI process. DRI International will not be part of the final selection process as that is the responsibility of the issuing organization.
As a part of adding value to your certification, we will be offering a variety of resources to help you with this process including a webinar to provide an overview of the RFP/RFI fundamentals and for those who want something more in-depth, we will be creating a half-day online workshop course. Stay tuned for more details. This holistic approach will meet the needs for all sizes, industries, and forms of organizations.
