On October 29 and 30, the ARISE Mexico Forum will be held, called “Resilience for all: the importance of understanding risk” (in Spanish, “Resiliencia para todos: la importancia de comprender el riesgo”). This forum is promoted by the Private Sector Alliance for Disaster Resilient Societies (ARISE), which has been established in the context of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, promoted by the United Nations Office for Reduction of Disaster Risk (UNDRR).

ARISE aims to create risk-resilient societies and unite the private sector in collaboration with other actors, to achieve the goals of the Sendai Framework. In addition to promoting prevention and continuity plans, it is also aimed at reducing risk and strengthening communities.

Chloe Demrovsky, President and CEO of DRI International, will be present as speaker on behalf of DRI, talking about the importance of resilience in built environments. The forum will be held at the World Trade Center in Mexico City, promoting resilience as one of the most representative values of business sustainability and in which key actors belonging to private, public, academic and public sector institutions will meet, along with other agencies in Mexico and Latin America.
