DRI FAQ: Qualifying Exams, Committees, and More

August 21, 2020 Leave a comment DRI Admin
To help our resilience community navigate the ins ond outs of DRI certification and other organizational inquiries, we’ll be providing this continuing FAQ!

Q:  How can I access/purchase the Qualifying Examination to begin the DRI certification application process?
A:  To purchase the Qualifying Examination only, you will need to create a free DRI account if you do not have one already and contact the DRI Customer Care Center at +1-866-542-3744 or send an email to driinfo@drii.org requesting a unique exam payment code to access the exam online. Please also keep in mind that the fee for the Qualifying Examination may be included in the price of many DRI certification courses.

Q: How can I learn more about DRI committees and how to serve/volunteer?
A: DRI committees rely on dedicated volunteers like yourself who bring experience and expertise to best represent the resilience profession. Each DRI committee has a unique mission to act as advocates for the profession, promoting and advancing knowledge within and beyond the business continuity field in all sectors. You can learn more about DRI committees here to see which committee best fits your area of interest. To better understand your goals, email driinfo@drii.org and let us know:

  • What is your objective for joining a DRI Committee?
  • How do you think you might best be of service?
  • What is your committee preference (first, second and third choice)?
  • A copy of your resume and/or a link to your professional social media profiles such as LinkedIn.
Q: Are there any changes to Continuing Education Activity Points (CEAPs) requirements due to Covid-19 especially since most conferences have been cancelled?
We understand that earning CEAPs has been challenging during this time and strive to provide more online activities to do so which do not require conference attendance. We currently offer access to free webinarsand are providing increased availability to online courses and workshops. The full list of CEAP activities is accessible at https://drii.org/maintaincertification. You can also contact us directly at driinfo@drii.org / 866-542-3744 and we would be more than happy to guide you personally so you can maintain your certification during this difficult time.
Q: I would like to access more resources available in the DRI library and do not remember my DRI account number or password. Do I need to create a new account?
A: No, if you are unsure of what your DRI account number or password is, please click on the ‘Forgot Your Password?’ link on the main DRI login page: https://drii.org/login. You will be able to reset your password with the email address associated with your DRI account. If your email address is no longer current, please contact the DRI office.

Q: I was recently certified and am living outside of the United States. Will I still be able to receive the DRI plaque and pin?
A: Yes, absolutely. DRI Certified Professionals living outside the United States are only required to pay for shipping fees and we will be able to ship these items to you directly. To request a plaque, you can email us at driinfo@drii.org.

Q: I would like to take a DRI course online and my company has been supportive of this during remote working. Before I register, is there an option for the course fee to be billed directly to my company instead of using a personal credit card?
A: Yes, we can certainly invoice your company. Please contact us directly at driinfo@drii.org / 866-542-3744 and we can register you for the selected course and email an invoice to be billed separately to your company instead.
