Letter From the President: 2020 at-a-glance
From the President:
2020 was a difficult year for everyone and the crisis is far from over. I want to acknowledge the ongoing challenge presented by Covid-19 and share what DRI is doing to continue assisting you.
We know that our resilience professionals around the world are still actively responding to the public health crisis. Our continuity community is rising to the mounting challenges brought on by this pandemic. We have tremendous faith in your skills and dedication and we are beyond proud to be associated with such tireless and innovative professionals. Please know that we are here for you during this unprecedented global response.
In March, we moved to remote training for all DRI courses and we will continue to maintain this policy until we feel that it is safe to assemble in person once again. I want to take a moment to say how proud I am of our global team and to acknowledge what a great job they’ve done to keep DRI running seamlessly in a 100% remote environment over an extended period of time. They have remained positive and diligent in difficult circumstances and are the reason why we have been able to continue delivering uninterrupted service. I am forever in their debt.
In addition to our online courses, we are continually adding resources for your use to our website and other virtual forums including our upcoming online DRI Resilience Excellence Summit, which we are hosting at no cost during these difficult times. This way you can stay engaged even though we can’t see each other in person. We canceled DRI2021 for your safety, but we look forward to getting together again at DRI2022 to be held at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, NV on February 13-16, 2022. Be assured that no matter the format, we will continue to share lessons learned as they emerge. We value your insights as you work to manage the impact of Covid-19 on our nations, organizations, communities, and families.
While no one knows for sure how this situation will evolve, we are steadfast in our belief that there are still great stories of resilience to tell. I am proud to release our 2020 year-at-a-glance report to showcase some of our reasons for optimism. The future of business continuity is bright. Read on to see how DRI is supporting you.
With gratitude,
Chloe Demrovsky, CBCV
