Buffy Rojas Leach Reaches 10-Year Milestone With DRI International!
Congratulations are in order – this month, Buffy Rojas Leach is celebrating 10 years with DRI International as our indispensable Director of Communications!
Buffy has been shaping the messaging and design of DRI for a full decade now, as well as coordinating every speaker you’ve heard at our conferences and webinars, and a dozen other ways DRI has grown over the years into a welcoming community for resilience professionals everywhere. And half the time she has one of her pack of dogs (tiny bodies, big personalities) on her lap as she does.
“10 years – wow. I can remember when we had our first conversation about Buffy joining DRI and how she could help create a much needed communications program,” said Al Berman, DRI Foundation President. “I am not sure what my expectations were that day, but I know that I could never imagine how far we have come. DRI’s growth and prominence are directly attributable to her vision and dedication. Thanks Buffy, to say I am delighted would be an understatement.”
“When I first met Buffy, I remember thinking she was exactly what we needed and that has proved more than true,” said Chloe Demrovsky, DRI President. “She has a depth of industry knowledge paired with a totally unique skill set. Her contribution to DRI over the last decade has been truly invaluable.”
Ingrid Shieh, DRI’s Director of Marketing, adds, “Buffy has been instrumental in expanding DRI’s outreach in the resilience community. Over her 10 years at DRI, she has not only been an integral part in leading DRI’s communication program, she has also become an ally and go-to resource for resilience professionals around the world looking to share their experiences and better the profession.”
Drop Buffy a line congratulating her at brojas@drii.org – and while we’re at it, a round of applause for her son Tano, who’s graduating high school in a couple of weeks! (And of course, say hi to the dog crew.)
