DRI Announces Roberto Zegarra as Director of Education
DRI International is proud to announce that Roberto (Rob) Zegarra, MBCP, CCRP has been named Director of Education, taking over for retiring director (and recent Honor Roll Award recipient) Gary Villeneuve.

He and I have worked together on various projects over more than a decade,” said DRI President and CEO Chloe Demrovsky. “On a personal note, it’s a pleasure to collaborate with him as he brings a positive, resourceful attitude to everything he takes on. I know he will make a meaningful difference to DRI, its training programs and support our vision.”

An experienced business resilience consultant and instructor, Zegarra began his career in the security, risk, and continuity profession in 1991. His experience includes physical and logical security assessments, incident response, and business response and recovery. His specialties include business impact analysis, business recovery plans, crisis management structure and communications, incident response tabletops and exercises, as well as risk improvement, supply chain, and interdependency analysis. He has led and participated in numerous real and simulated disaster recovery, incident response, and cyber-attack events.
Zegarra has extensive experience with impact analysis, helping organizations recognize vulnerabilities, prioritize business functions, identify critical elements, and ultimately enhance preparedness and corporate resilience. Additionally, he is an expert in network segregation and operations recovery. His experience includes manufacturing, financial institutions, retail, logistics, and government, amongst others.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas-Austin. He has been a DRI instructor since 2000 and is a graduate professor for IT Governance at Mackenzie University in Brazil.
