July 23, 2020 Leave a comment DRI Admin

In a recent survey of 1,000 resilience professionals in India, the vast majority agreed: the biggest potential disruption to organizations’ BCM plans is another wave of COVID-19.

The “Return to Work” Survey saw 70% of Indian companies saying a new COVID-19 wave was the top threat to business continuity in the country. This primary concern relates to other security and health challenges on the list:

  • Inadequate work-from-home infrastructure (35%)
  • International border controls (21%)
  • Lack of robust BCM planning (13%), and
  • Mental health issues (10%).

India International SOS, which conducted the poll, identified the crucial need for pandemic response planning to strengthen organizational resilience, and recommended organizations find ways to support the mental health and wellbeing of employees as they adapt to the “new normal” (47% of respondents in India said they will be implementing mental health support measures for employees as they return to work).
