Therefore, market leading organizations using these capabilities should by now have taken the step to move from “contingency to continuity”. The next, more challenging step, is to them move their thinking towards “resilience”?
“From a practical point of view, it means that organizations which previously had adopted a “business continuity management” approach should by now be focusing on “operational resilience” and taking into account a range of subject matter areas when planning for “disruptive” events, to prevent a “business disaster”.
