DRI International Awards ‘Resilient Enterprise’ Designation to ADCMC
New York, NY – February 5, 2025 – Disaster Recovery Institute (DRI) International, the leading nonprofit in business continuity and resilience education and certification, is pleased to announce that The Abu Dhabi Crisis Management Center (ADCMC) has received the DRI accreditation of “Resilient Enterprise” in recognition of the organization’s extraordinary commitment to preparedness and resiliency.
“We are pleased to award ADCMC the prestigious DRI International Resilient Enterprise certification in recognition of the organization’s commitment to creating and maintaining a comprehensive resilience program that encompasses all aspects of regulatory compliance and well-integrated emergency response, business continuity, disaster recovery, and crisis management functions,” said Al Berman, President of the DRI Foundation and Treasurer of DRI International. “We also recognize this groundbreaking achievement as the first ever in the United Arab Emirates and the first Emergency Management Agency worldwide and through its partnership with Rabdan Academy.”
Led by H.E. Dr. Abdulla Rashid Hamarain Al Dhaheri, Executive Director of Response and Recovery Sector, the ADCMC team was presented with the “Resilient Enterprise” award on the evening of February 4th during the Awards of Excellence Gala at DRI’s premier annual conference for business continuity professionals, DRI2025, held at the Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“ADCMC is honored to be recognized by DRI for our business continuity and resilience efforts, reaffirming our commitment to strengthening our national preparedness and response capabilities,” said Dr. Abdulla. “This accreditation reflects our team’s dedication to implementing global best practices in crisis management, ensuring operational continuity, and fostering a culture of resilience that supports the safety and security of our nation. We will continue to build on this achievement by advancing our resilience strategies, promoting collaboration across sectors, and enhancing our preparedness programs to address emerging challenges. This recognition motivates us to further elevate our standards and contribute to the UAE’s leadership in disaster management and national security.”
Established to recognize organizations that have demonstrated extraordinary commitment to preparedness and resiliency, the “Resilient Enterprise” and “Center of Excellence in Resilience” awards are DRI’s official “standard of excellence” designations for organizations.
The “Resilient Enterprise” award recognizes entities for extraordinary commitment to areas of business continuity management (BCM), including emergency management, business continuity, disaster recovery, and crisis management. All organizations are eligible to apply for the “Resilient Enterprise” and “Center of Excellence in Resilience” designations which require an extensive evaluation process and strict qualifying protocols in an effort to ensure the appropriate level of knowledge and proficiency of an entity’s BCM program.
