DRI International Announces Ray Seid, MBCP, as Senior Director of Education
DRI International is proud to welcome Ray Seid, MBCP, CBCLA, ARMP, CHPCP, CCRP, CPSCP, as its new Senior Director of Education. A resilience practitioner with decades of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, cybersecurity, and related disciplines, Seid is also a seasoned DRI instructor who holds a certification in each of DRI’s certification tracks – business continuity, risk management, healthcare continuity, continuity audit, and cyber resilience.
“Having taught 800+ students across all of DRI’s courses, I know what they need to be successful in their jobs,” said Seid. “I’m excited to use that knowledge to further enhance our already excellent curricula.”
“No one could be better equipped than Ray Seid to lead DRI’s education team,” said Michelle Cross, DRI President and CEO. “He is a respected and beloved DRI instructor as well as an expert practitioner. I’m thrilled to welcome him to the DRI team.”
Seid brings 30 years of resilience experience to his new role with the organization. He has been a DRI Instructor since 2015, teaching all of its certification courses. In addition to leading both the DRI Education and Healthcare committees, Seid has served on the DRI Board of Directors for eight years. His previous volunteer leadership roles with DRI include Chair of the Commission, the Professional Practices Committee, and the MBCP Committee.
Most recently, Seid served as the BDR Practice Leader at Teleion Consulting, supporting multiple Fortune 50 clients. Prior to that, he spent over a decade at McKesson as Senior Director of Business Continuity Services, where he led a team focused on delivering business continuity services for business units companywide — implementing governance, BIA(s), recovery plans, and tabletop exercises.
