DRI International’s Premier Forum in Abu Dhabi Was a Great Success!
May 2013, Qaryat Al Beri – Organized in conjunction with the newly formed U.A.E BCM Standard: AE-HSC-7000:2012, DRI International held its first Regional BCM Forum at the Shangri-La Hotel in Abu Dhabi last month.
Industry experts such as keynote speaker, Al Berman, president of DRI International; Mohammad Ahmad Al Jenaibi, director of safety and prevention for NCEMA; Abdulrahman Yousuf Al Naser, senior specialist for Telecom Emergency & Audit (TRA); and Guy Peterson, CBCP, senior associate of Booz Allen Hamilton shared their valuable knowledge and experience. Business continuity executives and professionals across the region had opportunities to exchange ideas on business continuity management, disaster recovery planning, crisis and emergency management as well as compliance and regulations throughout the conference.
Already looking forward to next year’s forum, Mohammed Al Jenaibi said, “It was a great opportunity to network with professionals from all around the world. I was honoured to receive my CBCP to present our UAE BCM Standard and Guidelines: The AE/HSC 7000:2012 to the global BCM community. This annual forum will be essential to new BCM professionals as it is a chance to learn about the background of BCM and its role in an effectively integrated emergency management plan. With DRI International organizing such well-attended events throughout the world, I strongly recommend carrying as many business cards as possible!”
